Dreaming My Escape

Melody Embersand was completely in love with Ryan Evans, her neighbor and best friend. She loved him so much, that she would take a beating everyday just to be with him. In reality, that is what she has to do to be with him. Why? Because Melody is in a relationship with the school’s bad boy: Derek McAllistor. He’s obsessive, possessive, and extremely abusive. Melody couldn’t leave him, because he threatened to kill her if she did, and she’s fairly certain that he would follow through with it. In other words, Melody can only be with Ryan in her dreams. When she would wake up, she would be forced into the world of reality where if she even looked at the boy she loved, she would receive a beating. Can Melody turn her dreams into her reality?
