There wasn't much to do in Grantville during the summer, or that's what 16-year-old Aspen Jones thought anyway. She dreaded the summer- knowing it'd be a boring one. No one stayed in the small town during the summer. Everyone travelled, had places to be. Little did Aspen know that this was going to be one of the best and emotional summers she'd ever experience, and it all started with the creation of "The Summertime Squad"- an unlikely friend group that consisted of Aspen and 3 other boys (sometimes 6, but the other 3 came and went). A summer filled with laughs, memories, and adventures, Aspen couldn't have been happier to meet the 3 idiots she'd soon call her best friends.
