Introduction
Before we start our story I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I am a vampire princess who is half vampire and next in line for the throne. The next thing I guess I should tell you about is what I look like; I am five-eight with navy colored hair and not one set eye color. My eyes change colors depending on my mood while in human form, but once I am in my true form their either a light lilac or red when I am angry. To answer your question, No I do not sparkle in the sunlight or catch on fire although I am easily sunburned while out in the sun. Now the other vampires are not as lucky because they get a sun burn within minutes. Oh, and out of all the things that I can do magic is the thing that I excel at. Also I have a guardian fire wolf demon named Flame and I found him when he was just a low level flame demon pup. We have been together ever since and have a special connection. I guess you could say he is my bonded demon, so we can always use that bond to find out where the other is or to talk to them no matter how far apart we are, well unless of course one of us severs our bond. Since we have this bond we know each other's deepest darkest secrets and understand each other inside and out although it doesn't happen anymore because we now know how to block our thoughts from each other. We also train together always trying to be the best. As for appearance well that depends, while he is just in his normal wolf form he has a rusty red colored coat and ice blue eyes, but when he is in his demon form he has stark black fur with a sapphire blue mixed in and deep dark violet eyes. My name is Raven and this is my story.

Have you ever thought that vampires existed? When you think of vampires, do garlic and stakes come to mind? Well, vampires do exist, but we are not what you think. Vampires aren't just blood-craving monsters who hunt humans; we are peaceful. We do have sharp fangs, that much is true, but we aren't allergic to garlic; in fact, some of us love it, myself included. We don't burst into flame, or melt in the sunlight, and we definitely do not sparkle in the sun either. As vampires, we live for thousands, and sometimes even hundreds of thousands of years (if a pesky, self-righteous human doesn't drive a stake into our heart first...). I am not young by vampire terms. New and young vampires, are "Newlings". Until a vampire is at least one hundred years old, they can't turn a human into a vampire, and are considered a Newling. But I'm what we call a "Maturling". Maturlings are at least a century old. In vampire years, I'm one hundred, on the dot. Though in human years, I'm about twenty-four. There is a third category of vampires called "Purelings". Purelings are vampires who have always been - well, vampires, - and have never had a single human in their family tree. Purelings, unlike all other vampires, can turn a human at any age. (Imagine being turned into a vampire by a teething toddler... yikes). Like with all cultures, there are things that are forbidden. For vampires, we are not allowed, by any means, to turn a human out of spite, or if they refuse to be one of us, but when feelings surface, they can change things forever...

Mask on... No identity. "Who are you?" I asked after the enchanting dance we just had. "You'll never know" he said. It was a party where everyone was masked. But there was something about this one person. Something enchanting , something magical, something intense, something that made her want to see him again. The way he held her close. The way they both moved in sync to the music. The way his eyes never left hers. The way her heart speed picked up every time he was around. The way she was nervous and couldn't help but look at him. But he wasn't all that different from her. . She was abused, so was he. She had nightmares, So did he. He was darkness, she was the same. His past was evil, hers was filled with cries. The things he did were unspeakable and unforgettable. She was innocent, he was not. He wasn't good for her. She tried to make peace, he was war. She wasn't feeling, he was DEAD. As she left the party she looked back at him one more time. "Will we see each other again?" she asked. "Certainly" he said kissing her knuckles before he disappeared into the night. She thought she would have never seen him again but then. "Your back" she said. "Yes I am" he said. "But your not yourself" she said. "I'm a monster" he said before he attacked her. "I want to know who you really are" she said. "If you knew you would run" he said. "Shhh.. Just one more" he said as he kissed her lips and was so wrapped up with the innocence present in her eyes. "Hold me" she said looking deep into his eyes. "Don't leave me" she said. "I can't stay" he said. "Why are you leaving?" she asked crying. "Don't worry we'll meet again" he said and walked down the lonely dark halls. "BYE" she whispered.

"Don't even think about it." I stood frozen in place as he said those words from behind me, which sent shivers down my spine. The rain started running down my face as I started thinking of a way out of here. My body trembled in fear knowing that he could easily hurt me. I'm not strong against someone like him Thoughts raced through my mind as I tried to think of a way to get away from him. But there was nothing but endless trees around me. I blinked away the water running into my eyes due to the rain. My thoughts were disturbed when he suddenly spun me around to face him, his face just inches away from mine. "P-Please don't hurt m-me." I stuttered out. I tried to sound brave and not let my fear show, but my mouth betrayed me. His golden red eyes flickered with a hint of pain for a moment then back to a cold stare, "I'd never hurt you, never put you in harm's way and I'm never letting him take you from me, you're mine." He said in a deep low voice, almost a growl, and his eyes seemed to have gotten darker. 'What the hell is that supposed to mean?!' I tried taking a step back but his grip on my arm tightened. It hurt. "L-let me go, you, you're hurting me!" I looked up at him scared, his eyes were now completely dark, and the next thing I noticed were pointed teeth poking out from his lips. I screamed and pushed at him but he didn't budge. I then raised my knee and kneed him between the legs with all my force, and he dropped like a rock, holding his groin. Run. I took my chance. And ran. ~~~ Nora Brown, is a normal adult, living a normal life. Moving away from home to start fresh and meet new people. Just going where life takes her. The moment his hand grabs my chin sparks ignite all over the skin that he touches and slowly they trickle throughout the rest of my body. His forceful movement of my face acted as a catalyst for my body because now I am able to finally move freely. My eyes soon find his face and all I can say is that none of the rumors were lies, in fact, the rumors do not do him and his beyond-godly features justice. My eyes move up from his full pink lips to his straight-edged nose to his hauntingly beautiful grey eyes and that's when I know. There is literally no doubt about it. I don't know how I didn't figure it out before. All the signs were there. Maybe it's because everyone has always told me that he couldn't exist. Have you ever just look up to the sky and ask the Moon Goddess "Why?" I have. I do it every single night for the past four years. I don't know if I'll have a second chance mate. I doubt the Moon Goddess would bless me with one when I literally killed my own mate with my own two hands. Now, Dominic. Dom. He deserves one. His died the night of our Ball. He seen her from afar a few weeks back. Just for a second. We were in such a hurry in our Village that he never got the chance to talk to her. He never got the chance to know her. I however, was cursed with a mate that betrayed me before I even knew who she was. I never got the chance to know her either. Once I heard her talking about ending our family. The thought of a mate I had went out into the forest. My mother. My fathers. My brothers. My sisters. Harlee! Who could do harm to her? She's just sweet and innocent. She's my baby sister. I didn't care for her explanations. I cared and loved my family more. To Odin and I she was a trespasser. She was the enemy. So, I killed her before she could do harm to our people. To my family. To my friends. It was her or all of them. I picked them. I would rather have her blood on my hands than have the entire pack. The entire clan. My entire family's blood on my hands. So I killed her without a second glance. I killed her with no emotions. After that night. I changed and it wasn't for the best. I changed and became colder. If I get a second mate, if she blesses me, I will reject her. When "Mate" escaped my lips I nearly died. Fuck. Why did she have to show up now? Why couldn't I have been blessed being mateless. It would make everything so much easier. But than again nothing is easy in my life. Do I trust her or do I reject her? Will the past repeat itself? Or will this lilac haired cherry blossom eyed mate when over my icy cold heart?
