©2016 lqbtpilots It's a bird! It's a plane! No wait, it's just your average loser in plaid. Fifteen year old high school junior Charlie Reymonds is living the hard life. She is not popular. She's definitely not part of the Royal Family and hardly normal. Dork doesn't even begin to sum her social nonexistence. She's shunned by all other social class, she can't keep up with hallway fads, and now she has to deal with brand new limited-time-offer obnoxious stalker Nigel, who gets insanely jealous when she comes within 20 feet of the male gender. Her life at home isn't much better, with a bratty four year old sister who still whines when the cows come home, and a seventeen year sister that's everything she wishes she was. And what's worse, her mom and dad can't ever seem to stop fighting over a mysterious subject that seems to be breaking the family apart. But, after some life-altering experiences, Charlie finds out why she can never seem to fit in. And with her head held high, she decides to except life as it is, and figures that maybe being a loser isn't that bad after all. Ever since she was a child, Melody has dreamed of following in her famous mother's footsteps and becoming a singer. But there's one problem-her voice. Convinced she doesn't have what it takes, Melody starts to lose faith in her dream. Everything changes when she crosses paths with people from a completely different world than her own. Through new friendships, raw talent, and a fresh take on music, Melody begins to discover that maybe her voice isn't the problem-it's how she's been taught to hear it. Marked mature for strong language, bullying and minor violence Cover by @Ascalon_52190 on Twitter and @milestaylor on Wattpad A/N: I've been inspired by a Tumblr post from years ago. If there's similarities with other stories, that's may be why.
