When Nerissa Waterstone was four, she was in a life changing event. She became known as the Hudson Miracle Child because she spent four minutes underwater before she surfaced. This drowning experience still has an effect on her in the form of she's completely terrified of any sort of water.
Constantly tormented by her peers, she is forced to see a shrink. She meets his son and it's an instant attraction, even though he looks like a popular kid and she's stuck being the nobody. It is on her first date with him that disaster strikes, forcing her back to where it all began; Huson, Hawaii.
How will she react once she gets back to Hawaii? How will the people treat her? Little does she know that she has much bigger fish to fry. Little does she know that a war is beginning to rage over her.
