They were helping clean up the village along with Valka and Gobber and their dragons Cloudjumper and Grump. Nothing out of the ordinary until a black blur flies across the sky.

When Stormcutter brought him to the place where the king is the king saved Hiccup's life and gave him dragon's powers like dragon's eye strength, and the king can control him because the powers he gave him were just like all dragons. But he won't have wings or dragon's tails, but he will learn how to speak with dragons and he'll forget how to speak English. This book will have grammar errors.
