However, when Velvet reaches the Indigo Pod and the place where her "training" is to take place, she can't help but feel that something is deeply wrong. The Indigo mermaid that Velvet trains with, Blair, is extremely strange and sets off many alarm bells for Velvet. Not to mention when Velvet becomes friends with another mer named Nelly, she begins to learn of rumors involving Envidia, rumors that make Velvet question the lines between loyalty and blind belief. When Velvet finally does discovers the dark secret that these mers are hiding, will she run? Or will she face danger head on and unlock the dormant magic within her?
