You had run away from a family who never really loved you except your brother. So you tried to do what most people would have done and tried to commit suicide. That plan had failed and that's when you met Toriel. You hear a noise while getting a glass of water, when you go to find Toriel she isn't there. Your panicking and running about the house looking for her. As you turn a corner, you make impact with a tall dark object.
