King Natsu Dragneel of the Dragon Kingdom sets out on an adventure because he is getting bored of his life after getting the throne of his father, Igneel. On his adventure, he arrives at the Celestial Kingdom and meets the future Queen, Lucy Heartfilia. Lucy's father, the King, Jude Heartfilia is trying to marry her off to a prince so the two kingdoms will combine and become bigger and their son would be the heir. Lucy tells Natsu about her destiny but Natsu and Lucy grew closer together. Natsu fell in love with Lucy and tries to stop her from getting married. Would they get through the challenge or would Natsu fail and Lucy will get married?
