Tom Ward is a seventh son of a seventh son, which allows him to fight against denizens of the dark, such as ghosts, ghasts, boggarts, and witches. 

Now Tom is the Chipenden Spook and with witches in the County running amok, Tom is the only one who can stop them. 

But whenever he does try to settle the score with the malevolent witches of Pendle Hill, will it be the end of him? Once he's captured one of their own, will his death be imminent? Will the witches of Pendle call upon their only savior, the Alchemist, a being of great and terrible power, to stop Tom once and for all?

Can Tom survive and defeat an enemy that can't be killed, and all before a curse that's been lain upon him seizes his life?
