In mathematics, a variable is a value that may change within the scope of a given problem or set of operations. In contrast, a constant is a value that remains unchanged, it remains consistent. And when something is consistent, it can remain in a state of perfection forever. That is something Cosette Iverson is very good at being. Perfect, that is. Everything is just so, just perfect and consistently perfect. She is perfection. But what do you get when add together consistent perfection and a ever changing scope? A equation. And it just seem to be that in this math equation Cosette is the constant and Var, a gift horse from her desist grandmother, is the variable. The grey Selle Francis gelding, is anything but consistent and anything but perfect. With his wild mood swings and uncanny freak outs, Var is the most crazed, unpredictable, narcissistic horse Cosette has ever come across. But to make the variable a constant, you must solve for the variable and that is exactly what she is going to do. But as she digs deeper, trying to figure out what is going through this horses brain, she starts to realize maybe perfection isn't as... well, perfect as it seems. She's starts to slip up showing flaws, and she's starting to like it. The deeper she goes the more confused she is, and it's getting to the point were one of them is going to have to break. But which one will have the weaker will; the constant or the variable?

Love is strange. It exists in many forms and is one of the key components that makes humans happy, but there isn't a lot of understanding surrounding it. At least not the kind of understanding with which the average person identifies. Agnes is one of the few people that can accept all kinds of love. Despite her dated name, she is a woman in her late 20's dealing with the death of most of her family. She's now stuck in the middle of figuring out how to raise children that she never saw in her future and deciding what love means for her, when it has to exist within layer upon layer of complication. She let go of her boyfriend after almost a decade because their love wasn't meant to exist under the strain of children, only to find herself confronted with the overpowering connection of her old high school sweetheart. The same man she ran away from because their values hardly aligned when it came to how love should be expressed long term. Within the midst of learning how to raise children and balance her ever-building career, Agnes tries to recover from her mother's death, seek comfort without complicating her circumstance, and figure out why her mother would name her Agnes. Finding real comfort starts to feel impossible, as her most available options are her ex-boyfriend and her assistant. Completed! Rejected 6 times** "This one just isn't for us." By far the most plain rejection I have ever received and I can respect it. 1/22/2022 - 1K 9/28/2022 - 10K

Evelyn Holloway's life seemed perfect. Being the daughter of a wealthy business tycoon and a professional model meant that everything was handed to her on a gold plated platter, even if she didn't want it. With her pedigreed horses and world-class riding instructors, Eves life revolved around horses. However, Eve is constantly under the watch of her parents' critical eyes with expectations of nothing less than perfectionism. To top everything off, Eve had learned that people always try to use her for her status and money. Eve believes she'll never meet a decent person who could look past her wealth, someone she could maybe call a friend. ...Then she meets Ashleigh Ashleigh Sutton is Eves polar opposite. Rocked by her parents' crippling divorce, the only thing Ashleigh seems to have left in her life is her love of horses and a passion for riding. However, her parents' split has left her with barely enough money to afford anymore riding lessons, much less her dream...a horse of her own. Worse, Ashleigh has learned that the people she thought were her friends were really only being her friends out of pity. Ashleigh feels as if there is nobody in the world who can look past her less than desirable home situation and be a true friend. ...Then she get's a job at Eves stable. Working all summer in exchange for riding lessons and showing opportunities seemed like a dream come true for Ashleigh and having a group of people her age with the same love for horses seemed perfect for Eve. "Dance with me." While I knew it wasn't a demand, it wasn't a question either. I hesitated and he noticed. "Come on Grace, give this gentleman the honor of a dance." "I don't see a gentleman anywhere." He chuckled, stepping closer and tucking his thumbs into his tight jean pockets. He looked like every woman's dream--dark jeans that hugged him sinfully, golden-tanned skin contrasted by his white-fitted shirt, a black, wide-brimmed cowboy hat, and a smile that could send any woman on her knees. Not to mention a voice that coated your skin like silk sheets. I hated how much I noticed. "You're right, but I would like the honor anyway... ma'am." ********************* Meet Grace--living the city life, reserved, eager to please, loyal to a fault. Feeling empty for reasons she's not yet sure of, she's adamant on chasing anything that makes her feel free. Meet Colt--living the country life, private, stubborn, outspoken. Feeling empty for reasons he's well aware of, he hides in his daily routine. Grace can't seem to figure out why she holds nothing back when it comes to Colt. He's absolutely infuriating. Colt can't seem to understand the affect Grace has on him, and why he cares what she does. She's entirely maddening. When the two get lost in the wilderness, it's up to Colt to get them back. Can they put their differences aside long enough to survive? Is it Colt who will save Grace, or is it she who will be his saving grace?
