If you touch your skin with ink, the marks you make will appear on your soulmate's skin too. Those who have this power are known as the Inked. It can be beautiful or dangerous, and for twenty-year-old Archie, it's both, in a very short space of time.
As an art student at a prestigious university in London, her hobbies include procrastination, doodling and daydreaming about whoever's writing the words that appear on her skin, and what she'll say when she finally meets him. If she ever does. Now that Inking is illegal, though, it's a risk even talking to him. She's not sure if she's willing to give up everything for a boy she's never met, but she knows that if she doesn't, she'll regret it for the rest of her life - however long that may be.

Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick.
