My father is 67 years old. He is a retired sailor. When I was younger he would tell me all about his adventures. I loved the thought of the blue sea , the cool breeze and the salty air. I am now 34 years old and have a beautiful 6 year old daughter. She adores her great grandfather and loves to hear his tales.
Read along with the tale of 67 year old Jack a retired sailor and his granddaughter 6 year old Lucy as he tells her all about his adventures as a sailor many years ago.

There once was a prince, who fell in love with a girl. But she wasn't a princess. She was the hand maiden of a nobleman's daughter, who had eyes for the young prince. The prince and girl fell in love, but couldn't be together, for the nobleman's daughter grew jealous when she found out, and ordered them to be killed. This story was called "The Lover's Curse." As it passed down, generation through generation, it became known as only a legend, a myth. Mermaids are real, and unlike humans they have powers. Every mermaid is matched with an element when they are born, its not there choice but the worlds in a way, you see the mermaids tail color tells them their element and powers some are more powerful with it and other's not so much to useless. Green tails mean their element is Nature and earth, orange and yellow is light, purple is shadows, pink is wind and then there is blue for water and red for fire. But, when a princess is born with a tail holding 5 out of 6 of the elemental colors and starts getting hunted at the age of one. There was only one thing the king could do to keep his precious babygirl safe and that's what he had done. Amelia Light was adopted at the age of one. Knowing the truth she feel's that these people are her real family even if they aren't by blood. Living a normal life with a loving family and an annoying older brother, Amelia never expected her life to change in the way it did. She had grown up to love the water, she could always hold her breath for a long time and the people around her would always be filled with shock and bewilderment but, to her it was normal. At the age of 5 Amilea could hold her breath for a minute but as she gotten older it changed when she was 10 she could hold it for 5 minutes easy! A Mermaid for the Lonely
A mermaid named Sirène, whose job as a mermaid is to guide those who have died at sea to rest their souls and not be trapped. She typically finds sailors whose ships have sunk, and pirates and convoys alike. Her personality is one of seriousness, and she does not express herself by facial expressions very often. She does sung lovely tunes though, ones of the sea and winds, not ones meant to lure anyone to their doom. She seldom spends time with other merfolk and prefers to be on her own. She is however very curious of the various emotions humans possess and their intensity, since she does not feel these. One day, while Sirène was staying near Pointe de Pen Hir, a dangerous cliffside that plunges right into the ocean. Looking upwards by chance, she saw a human, a man, standing dangerously near the edge of the rocks. The wind blew harshly and she could only watch and wait as he toppled over the edge and feel towards the ocean. She saw no fight in him as he fell. ________________________________________________________________ This is a fantasy story with my mermaid OC that I started making back when I was in middle school. I've used her character to help me through tough times and I am revisiting her. I want to make sure I have a place to remember her story, and make it a happier one than before.Complete
