A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, there lived an universe where everything was different. Where the man we knew called Kylo Ren called himself Ben, and the smuggler Han Solo was nothing more than a murderer of innocents. The Rebels controlled everything, and the First Order lurked in the shadows, revolting against every movement by the diabolical government. 

In other words, Kylo's good, and Han is bad. No one is happy about this.

This story, honestly, was created just with the notation, "What if Kylo Ren and Han Solo switched places?" Then it became, "What if the Dark Side was good, and the Jedi are evil?" Then it became this, leading me to believe, well, what the heck, I'll put it online for the internet to judge.

Based on Star Wars ep. VII: The Force Awakens. "You... you're afraid." I say looking back at him defyingly. "That you'll never be as strong as Darth Vader." I say his hand moving away from me instantly and he takes a step back finally my body gets released from his hold. I notice the expression from his face breaking completely, he is confused even rattled. I breathe heavily and keep staring back at him proud of myself as he picks up his mask and exits the room leaving me tied up to the interrogation chair. How was I able to do all of that? ------ This book is part 1 of my rewrite series. I figured that if If I wanted to rewrite TLJ and TROS the only correct way would be by also doing TFA so here is that. Also, this book is going to be very similar to the movie to a point where it is almost identical but since it's written with different points of views we get to know more about the characters and where they come from. It is very canon compliant especially when talking about the different character backstories. That being said, this doesn't mean that the next two books are going to be the exact same as the movies I want to take the other books in a completely different way. They might still have similarities to the movies but not that many. ------ **I do not own any of the characters in the Star Wars Saga all credits to that go to Lucas Films.**

This is basically "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", but in an alternate universe about Luke's non-force sensitive son Jacen Skywalker, and how he is dealing with his cousin's turn to the Dark Side, and how he must watch over Rey, a scavenger who doesn't know she's a force user at this point. Now he must help the Resistance, led by his Aunt Leia, search for his father in order to defeat the First Order, and bring peace to the galaxy once and for all... And yes I'm imagining Andrew Garfield as Jacen because he looked like a Skywalker, and I thought he would fit in with the new trilogy. Some of you might cast Luke's son with Sebastian Stan or someone else that looks like Mark Hamill himself, but Garfield is my pick. It all takes place between both the perspectives of Jacen and Kylo Ren/Ben so they could have a developed relationship as cousins, along with some flashbacks. Rey's POV will also be a part of the story. Book 1 will be based over Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The next 2 chapters of this AU trilogy will also be based on the new trilogy, but mixed with some original elements to the story. Also my writing is a little rusty because it's my first time writing. Some rusty parts maybe fixed sometime later.

I do not take credit for anything but the situations I put the characters of Stars Wars in. If I spell something wrong or mix up a fact, please comment so I can try to fix it. There will be crude words and moments because tis life in the galaxy. Also do not read if you do not ship Reylo. I am writing this because I cannot STAND the ending of the Rise of Skywalker even though it needed to end that way and it was really well done. If I didn't ship Reylo, I would've loved the ending. Whelp, this is a fanfiction of how I would've liked it to end. I'm going to make it as similar to the movie as I can while adding my own touches (and a Ben Solo) to it. I'm going to start it right after the part where Emperor Palpatine takes Rey and Ben's Lifeforce during their fight on Exogol. I will be changing POVs too. She's lost faith in him, she believes her vision was only a vision. But she just can't seem to forget the look in his eyes when he fought by her, when he killed his Supreme Leader, when he understood her after the dark cave consumed her. She can't seem to forget him. Then there's Resistance pilot Poe Dameron. Rey hardly knows him and yet now she's strongly captivated by him, drawn to him by an aura that feels so positive and so warm and welcome. But he has a hatred for Ben Solo that is unexplained, and Rey fears that her friendship with Poe will prevent her from bringing Ben home. Who will Rey choose?

A sinister voice now whispers, and a flash of blue light reveals a fleet of Imperial Star Destroyers filling the vastness of space as blue fire leaps between them. A powerful red laser of an unseen weapon obliterates the surface of a planet. Shrieks, whispers and screams and then the sound of a lightsaber igniting. A fiery red saber but behind that saber is Rey, her hand twitches and the saber becomes a double-pronged staff. A maniacal evil laugh cackles. Kylo woke with a start and sat upright on his bed. Written after the first trailer dropped and finished before the film was released. Contains references to previous films, novelisations and comics.
