A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, there lived an universe where everything was different. Where the man we knew called Kylo Ren called himself Ben, and the smuggler Han Solo was nothing more than a murderer of innocents. The Rebels controlled everything, and the First Order lurked in the shadows, revolting against every movement by the diabolical government.
In other words, Kylo's good, and Han is bad. No one is happy about this.
This story, honestly, was created just with the notation, "What if Kylo Ren and Han Solo switched places?" Then it became, "What if the Dark Side was good, and the Jedi are evil?" Then it became this, leading me to believe, well, what the heck, I'll put it online for the internet to judge.

Star Wars: Son of Skywalker | Book I: The Force Awakens
This is basically "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", but in an alternate universe about Luke's non-force sensitive son Jacen Skywalker, and how he is dealing with his cousin's turn to the Dark Side, and how he must watch over Rey, a scavenger who doesn't know she's a force user at this point. Now he must help the Resistance, led by his Aunt Leia, search for his father in order to defeat the First Order, and bring peace to the galaxy once and for all... And yes I'm imagining Andrew Garfield as Jacen because he looked like a Skywalker, and I thought he would fit in with the new trilogy. Some of you might cast Luke's son with Sebastian Stan or someone else that looks like Mark Hamill himself, but Garfield is my pick. It all takes place between both the perspectives of Jacen and Kylo Ren/Ben so they could have a developed relationship as cousins, along with some flashbacks. Rey's POV will also be a part of the story. Book 1 will be based over Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The next 2 chapters of this AU trilogy will also be based on the new trilogy, but mixed with some original elements to the story. With the strain of the upcoming war and their son's rebellion, Han and Leia's marriage frays at the edges. The Resistance searches for the bits of maps that Luke is sending from his exile, and as they hunt them down, they realize they aren't the only ones looking. (Despite the title, this story follows the Resistance leaders and pilots more than Kylo/Ben himself, though there will be a few chapters about him) Time period: Ten years before The Force Awakens to about a week before, picking up where "Ben Solo" left off. This story (as a prequel) is mine, and so are the non-canon characters (except the ones people suggested, but I expanded on them, so technically the characters are mine), so please don't take them. This is a Star Wars story that takes place during the sequel trilogy (The Force Awakens - The Rise of Skywalker.) Like with my other story I will be changing some things up for this story as I like the idea of having these changes in there. I'll also be using some characters from the Star Wars Lengend's continuity. Which is one of those changes. I'll also be spitting this story into three parts one for each movie. Based on Star Wars ep. VII: The Force Awakens. "You... you're afraid." I say looking back at him defyingly. "That you'll never be as strong as Darth Vader." I say his hand moving away from me instantly and he takes a step back finally my body gets released from his hold. I notice the expression from his face breaking completely, he is confused even rattled. I breathe heavily and keep staring back at him proud of myself as he picks up his mask and exits the room leaving me tied up to the interrogation chair. How was I able to do all of that? ------ This book is part 1 of my rewrite series. I figured that if If I wanted to rewrite TLJ and TROS the only correct way would be by also doing TFA so here is that. Also, this book is going to be very similar to the movie to a point where it is almost identical but since it's written with different points of views we get to know more about the characters and where they come from. It is very canon compliant especially when talking about the different character backstories. That being said, this doesn't mean that the next two books are going to be the exact same as the movies I want to take the other books in a completely different way.
