It's a futuristic society with strict rules and strict people. Each person is born with a specific destiny represented by a locket that hangs around their neck. Each time a person makes a choice that leads to their destiny, a stone appears that fits perfectly into the locket. Anastasia May was born with two lockets- two possible destinies. She is what society calls a "Double" and the Council says they're dangerous. Dangerous enough to be taken from their families and locked behind doors in which only rumors escape. Anastasia must live a secret and quiet life, careful not let anyone know who or what she is. Because if anyone found out, she could be captured and it could be the end of her destiny. What will she do when her world comes tumbling down and the the rules that once kept her safe are the very things that are putting her life in danger?

In Martha's world, an alternative earth, the people follow the rules of 'The Grandmothers'. When you turn twenty five you are shelved, no longer allowed to date and forbidden from marrying. The earth is still recovering from the third world war. Resources are controlled by the Elites and the environment is polluted and many countries are damaged beyond repair. The population that survived the war has been ravaged by chemical weapons. The genders are out of balance. For over sixty years the birth rate of female babies has far outweighed their male counterparts. Women are resigned to the knowledge that if they are not married by the time they are twenty five that they never will be. They have limited choices once they are shelved. Martha chooses to go against the wishes of her family. She will spend the rest of her life taking care of her widowed Father as opposed to working and giving all her money to her younger female cousins to supplement their dowry. Fate and time has a different plan. Martha is drawn into a battle between The 19 and The Wild Roses. Two different factions each wanting to use and twist Martha for their own ambitions. Will Martha be able to bloom and change the world for the better or will she crushed? ....This story is a work in progress, it has themes and ideas that may change over time as the story develops and as I learn what you like and dislike about the novel. Nadia Rose Quinn had a sketchy child hood. It all began at the age of five when her parents split up. Then at the age of seven her mam passed away from livers disease after being an alcoholic for two years. Then she was passed through a number of different orphanages till she was ten. He gramps took her in after that and she has lived with her ever since on their farm in the English country side. So when her grandma Sheila passes away Nadia is beside her self, if she though her life was bad then it's worse now. Not old enough to take care of her self at the age of fifteen she is told she can either go back to Italy and live with a man she can hardly remember or be put back in to the adoption system. Not wanting to go back in her life she chooses to travel to Italy to live with her farther. At first she hates it. One day when she decides to go exploring on her farther's speed boat she gets stuck on a island call Borealis, it is here that her life will be changed for ever.Concluida

From here on, it's not about "what" she finds, but "how" she finds herself. Left behind is a short story that tells about a successful woman who's destiny is different than what she thought. Resa: a story set in the world of 'the Balance'
It is Resa's birthday and she is 54 years old. She has one year left until she goes over and she has been perfectly happy for the past 37 years, never questioning whether or not she loves her husband or even likes her children. But now she does. She has heard that some run but most, pretty much all, just go over. They go peacefully but Resa cannot believe they go happily. Older than her husband, she must go alone. She is given a guide dog to help her to make sense of the transition, to be with her, to be the be the only thing she knows on the day she turns 55. She doesn't even know what to call it.Concluida

awaking on a world that she doesnt know, our protagonist has a lot to learn, about herself, where she is and what the hell is going on. Follow our main character as she travels around the planet to try and save it, crossing paths with the horsemen of the apocalypse who mean to destroy everything in their path. Is our main character able to overcome terrific odds or is she part of the problem?
The Smosh Orphan (Finished)
This story is about a girl who is running away from her next 'family' she is 24 and has been an orphan all her life. Her previous 'parents' don't trust her so they send her to another family. She ends up knocking on the first door she can find in a small residential area. Little does she know that when she meets the person at the door, her life is permanently changed and she finds the true meaning of 'family'.Concluida
