The Old Lady and her flowers

It is a story set in my beautiful India. Maya, a headstrong and idealistic girl brought up in a strong, conservative cultural background of society discovers a liberal, accepting world, a world of great dreams in her boarding school as she meets two of the closest persons in her life- her two best friends. In the crucial growing up years, she beholds the world as she was never taught to see. Envisioning about every thing good and great that is and could be about the world, as the three motley,intelligent and visionary friends live their dreams and expectations through their journey, Maya discovers that the world outside their personal dimension does not intersect with them as they had expected. Yet, vibrant and optimistic as was her nature she sets out to be the change that she dreamt of. But would the worldly tangents join in favour of Maya? Or was this all, synonymous to her name, after all, just a heart shattering illusion? The world tries to bind her unrestrained soul in societal evils and Maya has a choice- Stay bound for the unconditional love and faith of the parents whom she had worshiped and loved as a devout daughter? Or break free to find herself on an unexpected, unplanned journey that would twist the very fabric of her universe?
