Jacqueline Henderson was a normal girl until she turned 16, that was when her life went straight to hell. She lost her brother, her parents divorced and quickly kicked her out to live on her own. "Oh shit." I hissed while stumble backwards.
"Watch your mouth!" The alpha hissed while storming towards me.
"Why the hell should I?" I said while glaring at him.
"Because no mate of mine is going to use such fowl language." He whispered in my ear.
"No way, not happening I am not your mate." I said while waving my arms around frantically
"Oh yes you are sweetheart, you looked right into my eyes, you started the mate bond." He chuckled while leaning towards me.
"No you can't be I have a job and you... No it can't be I'm suppose to never meet you!" The alpha was giving me a confused look but I couldn't handle it right now. "What do you want now?" she said gritting her teeth as he got closer and closer by every second. "I want nothing else but you Angel..."he whispered, his mouth inches away from her lips. "Can't you see that i don't want you? "If you only knew" then I turned on my heels walking out of he school with my brothers in tow. ------------- Bryce is the next alpha of the Dark Moon pack. He is the player, the normal non-mated alpha. He has bright blue eyes and black hair. When he meets his mate he is outraged to find out that she is human....or so he thinks. Marine is not like every mermaid girl, she is special and due to her&nbsp;royal blood her and her brother have.&nbsp;They can&nbsp;shift from mermaid to human, but if they come in contact with water in human form they shift in a minute flat. But what happens when she meets the alpha and is her mate. He thinks she human?&nbsp; She's not. She is the last purple finned mermaid out there. She has many powers which include anything water or sea related. Will he find out her secret? Will he want her back?

I see the guy turn towards me and duck behind the house I am standing by before he sees me. Nope! Not him! Not happening! I hear footsteps coming towards me and run. Into the woods I find a pine tree. Perfect! Pine trees are great hiding places. The branches hide you visually and the smell masks your scent. I climb up as quickly as I can and watch the guy approaching. He circles my tree looking around but eventually gives up and goes back towards the houses. "Mate!" My wolf happily purs. "Not him!" I respond. "Denial." She says. "Refusal." I counter and she growls at me. "You will NOT reject him!" She orders. "He is a bully!" "He is mate!" "He commanded that kid when he could have just talked to him! He is a bully with no patience!" "He is an Alpha!" She purrs with pride at his rank. I don't care! "I don't want him!" "The one you want isn't mate. He isn't yours. He isn't interested... I want mate!" "No." I block her out and climb down the tree.
