Madeline has been an orphan for thirteen years. She knows nothing of her past, except the fact that her parents disappeared over a decade ago, leaving their darling daughter behind. After their death, she was given a home in the seaside town of Northgate with a foster family and raised to be a proper lady as if she was a normal child. But Madeline is far from normal.

When tragedy shakes the entire town of Northgate to it's roots and Madeline's adoptive family even further, the teenager will have to make a decision that affects her entire life, and the lives of many others. This is the story of how a young girl dared to become somebody that nobody would ever dream of becoming- Madeline West, sailor extraordinaire, and how she would change the lives of everyone she encountered on her voyage.
