"The moon watches over earth like a mother. Every star in the sky is a dream, a wish. The brightest ones belong to the people who wish the hardest and hope for the greatest. Your dreams are in the sky and your fate is in the stars."

Evie lost her mother due to a mysterious break-in that happened on her sixth birthday in the middle of the night. Strangely, there were no ransoms or anything stolen. Evie grows up with her grandmother watching over her and keeping her safe, but something strange seems to be going on that her grandmother refuses to tell her, as lax as she is about everything else Evie does.

Will Evie come to the bottom of everything and find out what happened to her mother, or will she remain in the dark forever? And along the way, will she fall in love with someone-or something-out of her world and out of her reach?
