Chifuyu Shimoryū is an Ice-Dragon Slayer, and as such, she was raised by a Dragon by the name of Oropher; he had found her as a young child and raised her, she learned different types of Ice-Magic as well as Ice Dragon Slayer Magic as she grew up, along with math, history, science and all in advanced levels. She was taught many different languages and reads just the same.

But when she was seven Oropher vanished. She spent 3 years looking for him, but she was found passed out from heat stroke by Master Makarov of the Fairy Tail Guild. Since then she has spent her life training doing jobs and becoming a stronger Wizard. Learning other skills such as assassination, reconnaissance, and infiltration.

She doesn't use Assassination much but when she does, there's never evidence of a weapon or that someone was there, she was also the first Wizard in Fairy Tail to be promoted to S-rank, Laxus, Mira and Erza were promoted several years or months after her.
