Two months ago, Juliana Karlson and her partner raided an apartment, and he was shot and bled out in minutes. Two weeks ago, she was transferred to New York City.

Now, the two have gotten off to an explosive start. After negotiating an uneasy truce, they are surprised to find that they have more in common than they initially thought, and being patching up their relationship, and picking up the pieces of their lives.
