Salina Ironblood was an orphan. Abandoned by her true parents and taken in by the Brotherhood of Blades when its master saw her wandering the streets and discovered that she was no ordinary mortal. The master raised her as one of his own and trained her to be a ruthless killing machine; HIS ruthless killing machine.
After one of her missions, Salina rushes home after receiving an urgent letter regarding the demise of her brotherhood. After finding all her brothers in a pool of their own blood, she attacks their murderers only to find that they were unlike anything she has ever seen.
She is taken captive in a land she has only dreamed of venturing to and thrust into a war she had no idea how to fight, but then her parentage is revealed to her to be much darker than she anticipated. Numerous discoveries about herself and her bloodline make her head spin as she tries to find her place among her captors who seem to be relying on her more than they let on.
