Deathwatch Keeper Relai of the Ordo Xenos, alien hunters of the Imperium of Mankind, has stood vigil in a remote bunker for more years than many Astartes have served. Nothing has ever happened during his long watch, until now.

The unexpected arrival of a Deathwatch Kill-Team changes everything for Brother Relai. Years without contact with fellow Space Marines has left him socially awkward, but when events take a turn for the worse, his repetitive routine and stoicism serves him well against the hidden enemy he is forced to face

From the ever popular gaming world of Warhammer 40,000 comes my fan fiction nod to a hobby I've spent years enjoying alongside my brother, Martyn. I hope other fans will enjoy this story as much as I did whilst writing it.

[Sequel to 'Renegade'] Successfully routing a potential Chaos invasion and a Genestealer takeover of the Shrine World of Cosperan, Caius once again turns his attention to Hepharion and pursues him off planet. Surprisingly aided by the fallen Faustinius, their key to unlocking the entirety of Project Apocalypsis Dominus lies in a sealed data cache, and it is a race against time to unseal it before Hepharion does so with the cache that he himself is in possession of. Armed with a location - the planet of Novrasa - the Astartes of the Twentieth, Deathwatch Squad Ostentia, and the few survivors of the Cosperan Crusade set off for its sister, the paradise world of Orphis, to begin a plan to get to the uninhabited ghost planet. With a newly refreshed Bahad as their psyker, they feel on equal footing with Hepharion for the first time. However, things are not always what they seem, and the long reaching shadow of Novrasa and Apocalypsis Dominus might hold more danger than any of them yet realize. --- STORIES IN THE SERIES: 0. [Sequel to 'Imperium'] Following the successful defense of Alamarri and the sudden withdrawal of Hepharion's Chaos Marines, Caius returned to Macragge in time to see the return of his Primarch and receive a new mission from his Captain: find Hepharion and bring him down, no matter the cost, and chase down and secure the remains of the ancient Titan project. At first, resources seem scarce with the Black Crusade taking much of the attention and firepower of the Ultramarines. However, help comes in an unexpected form when an Inquisitor's acolyte appears with an unexpected offer for the men of the Twentieth. Across the stars, Bahad is called before the Council of Farseers of his Craftworld and desperately pleads his case for his alliance with Caius and his hunt for Hepharion. However, this falls on deaf ears when the Craftworld, concerned about his continued association with the Imperium, orders him into a temporary arrest to await further judgment. While in isolation, plagued by his visions of what shall happen without his involvement, he, too, receives an unexpected visitor: a Harlequin Solitaire with a keen interest on seeing him reunited with his Ultramarine. As the two friends journey forth, their paths lead them to one another once again and to the planet of Cosperan, home to a Black Templar Crusade and the most recent spot where Hepharion's Warband was spotted. --- STORIES IN THE SERIES: 0. The Deathguard. A Legion of Brutally grim and Crushing yet Merciful and Jovial Warriors. When the Largest conflict arises and at the heat of battle once standing tall clad in armor, he finally fell. But he did not find himself dead. He found himself elsewhere. Remnant. He'll have to get used to this. (Quick sidenote, but while I'll try my best to explain a lot about space marines and how they'd work I obviously can't just fit the whole thing in a single explanation, so I'll try to make it as readable as possible for someone who isn't aware on what Warhammer 40k is) Also justice for my Deathguard boys, they ain't never get spotlight here.
