My mother used to tell me the story about The Marks when I was a little girl. She said that when your soulmate wrote on his/her arm or wrist, that it would appear on your arm or wrist. But it wouldn't last for long so that is why no one ever noticed or just thought they wrote it them self. She said that if you were lucky, you would find your perfect match.
Ever since the first time she told me the story, I looked at my arm all the time. Still hanging on to my childish story.
