The Ark is dying. Our home is dying. So the hundred is being sent to the ground to save the oxygen and to see if we could live on earth.

Being on Earth holds many challenges of its own, including the grounders but they aren't the only troubles she faces. She faces her own emotional issues as well as the mix of feelings she has for the hundred she was sent down with.
