 Erin Jefferson is the best of the best in the science world. A young S.H.I.E.L.D. biochemist who has managed to synthesise a serum, MFCTS, that can force anyone who takes it to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. When HYDRA catch wind of her experiments, they send their best Soldier to bring her into HYDRA headquarters  for questioning. 

She's expecting to die there.

What she's not expecting is to find a man who needs her help. A man with a dark soul and light eyes. When S.H.I.E.L.D fals, and the mysterious man turns up at Erin's doorstep, begging for help, she is left to pick up the pieces. Truth is subjective, but how can anybody tell the truth when their whole life is a lie?

A (very) slow burn Winter Soldier / OC fic, packed to bursting with sass, sexual tension  and questionable language (I'm serious Erin swears like a sailor don't read if you're easily offended by language. Or Buck's occasional dirty mind)
