Indy Parker Bello has lived an incredibly dry life. The only interesting action she experiences is through books, Netflix, and living vicariously through her four best friends. However, as a recent college graduate who just miraculously got a job as a detective for the local Italian Mafia crime unit, she has to fight to show that she belongs in this world dominated by men and women far more outgoing and experienced than her. To do this, she chooses to go undercover and take them out from the inside.
Luca Antonio Moreno has been the Chicago Mafia boss for 4 years now. As the youngest boss in his family's history, his pride tells him that he has something to prove, regardless of the fact that he doesn't even want the job. When he meets Indy, he believes she wants to help the organization and feels she's a perfect candidate for the job: baiting potential buyers.
When their paths cross, will they recognize their similarities, or will they let their obvious differences decide their fates?
