It's starts out in the sand village, with a girl named Meochi, but never say that name, unless you want to die that is. Her mother comes back from a mission, dying. Her mother tells her to go to Konoha as her dying wish. She tells her friends, Temair, Kankuro and Gaara, even though Gaara doesn't care about her, but Gaara tells her she has to go.
So, she heads to Konoha, and things will happen, bad and good things. but, what with her rare Crystal Style, nothing will be easy, but that's how a life of a ninja is right, nothing is ever easy.

The Way Into Mist Village (NarutoxMHA)
What happens when you take 4 hero students, one ex-villain, two aliens, and over 15 ninjas, and throw them all together on a weeks long road trip through their enemies territory? *** The 4th Great Shinobi War has ended, and Gaara is starting to wonder how the nations will maintain their fragile peace without a common enemy. He's devised a plan to go on a diplomatic tour of the shinobi world, and try to establish strong bonds with each village, and Mist Village is his first stop. Joining Gaara and his two ever loyal siblings, Temari and Kankuro, will be the Leaf Shinobi, Naruto, Shikamaru, Ino, Tenten, Hinata, Neji, and surprisingly, Sasuke Uchiha. Sasuke isn't really going for the mission though, he's been persuaded to join them by Gaara's new, out of this world teacher, Shine Likstar, and her partner Wally West, and their current hero trainees, Momo, Shoto, Dabi--and now joining them: Bakugo and Camie. They all don't start off on the best foot, and Gaara wonders how they'll make it to Mist without killing each other. Along the way the group runs into Sasuek's old Team Taka, and makes some detours into creepy lairs, all the while trying not to drive each other insane with their crazy hijinks and culture clashes. Not to mention past trauma. But things may heat up when they actually reach Mist Village and find more than they bargained for. [This story is a sort of spin off of the canon story line, and picks up where my shorter retelling of the first show in "New Way of Ninja" leaves off. Read that book first if you want to know how these characters know each other. Otherwise if you just want to jump right in and figure it out, I respect that approach too. This should be a lot of fun. The story is styled to be more Slice of Life/Action, but they'll be ships, funny situations, and angst and drama in plenty for all of you who like a little spiciness with your friendship stories. What happens when Sairen decides to pay a little visit to the Village Hidden in the Leaves? Well, she finds out that it is loud as hell there. But, for some reason, she decides to become a ninja. There, she meets many people, and soon, the rumor of the Sairen makes it to her ears, what will she think? Has she know that people have heard her sing? What is this strange girl's real name and what is she capable of? Will the village find out about her little secret, or is it even important? No one knows. Naruto, once a bustling ball of energy, became a shell of his former self. Naruto, as always, is forced to beg for training. He wants nothing more than to become powerful enough to bring Sasuke back and to fulfill his goal of becoming Hokage, but an event that occurs during his training regiment changed him. Jeriya is acting oddly towards him, so is Tsunade, and everyone close to him. Naruto gradually loses his grasp on reality, and believes his judgement is no longer a meaningful contribution. He becomes the opposite of who he once was, and finds that he's not the only one losing himself. Naruto ventures with those close to him to find the source of his anguish, and they unveil the unsettling truth. .... "I have to end this thing, it's the only way." Naruto spoke breathlessly. "Please, don't do this! There has to be another way!" He begged. "There's no other way." ----------------------------------- It has been YEARS since I've touched this piece. I decided to start rewriting it, but I've been procrastinating since its SIXTY THREE PAGES LONG. I kept telling myself "well its readable" no it really isn't. The dialogue is corny and unrealistic and I was making up shit as I went. At least now I have a clue of what the general direction of the story was. And I'm going to make cover art as well, because AI covers look dumb and wrong.

But the world they get sent to seems to be a strange world with people unlike anything they've seen before, even with the help of their intrepid hero friends, it's looking like success will be difficult. First to meet them are the rough Sand Siblings: Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro, who think they are there to assassinate someone, and are already on their guard. Then they hear about these Leaf Nina, Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke, and it seems their mission is about to get lot more complicated. (This fic starts off in the Sasuke retrieval arc and continues through the War arc, and then into noncanon territory. If you like new characters, crossover hijinks, and shipping [including rare pairs) topped off with deep diving into the characters and world, then I'd say this will be your type of story.
