She was a fighter from the start. She never knew who she was, she always felt lost after the death of her parents. No one had ever cared for her at all, instead, she was abused. Every day she held back tears and screams because no one could hear them and even if they could, they would not care.
She wished and wished, and finally, something went her way. Her long-lost father appeared and swept her away from her horrible life. He raised her as a fighter, someone who could take any pain. She learned to fight and kill without a thought, she became Kai. The most feared female street fighter in Brooklyn.
What happens when a certain enemy makes a good first impression. Will he discover her secret? Will he be the love she wants in her life? Or is he just another thing that causes her pain?

I'm a fighter, I fight for the the things I want, I fight for the little family I have, I fight for everything I believe in, but most of all I fight for myself. I fight on the streets where it's not safe, I fight there because I feel free and I can do what I want there. I live for the streets. "Do you promise you'll come see me tomorrow?" "If I can even make it to tomorrow." Armani absolutely hates all types of violence. Even when she was little she used to cry when violent scenes would pop up on tv. She was always in the house and if she was honest with you the only places she knows the location of in sugarhill is her friend's Mia's house, her home, and a store that's near her house. She hated being outside but she kinda liked where she lived at in sugarhill since it's a little bit more quiet. She never got into any sort of trouble and never smoked or drank a day in her life. Rakai grew up inside the streets of Brooklyn. He knew every shortcut to the nearest store, every body on the street, every crackhead that was there. You could point to anybody that lives there and he could give you a name. He loved being outside and going places. He grew up with violence. To him violence was like his sibling since where he lived you'd have to get used to it. He was more far than a homebody and loved getting into dumb and reckless things. He smoked, dranked, and would party until his heart desired him to stop. The two bump into each other by a corner store and Rakai feels bad for hitting Armani in the head with the door so he suggests to pay for her stuff. Weeks later the two keeps bumping into each other and starts getting closer with each other. Armani starts to love being and hanging around the boy. Until something that happens between them changes Armani's whole perspective about Rakai.

I sit down on my bike looking around the school parking lot. Listening to music, I stand up begin to walk through the student-less parking lot. Honestly, it's not like I meant to be late. My music cut out causing me to hear a whistle. I stop in my tracks and pull my headphones down to my neck. Turning around, I seen a group of men with one guy who just smirked at me. "You new here beautiful?" one of the guys asked. "What do you think Einstein?" cocking my brow. "Ohh. Challenging? I like." he says walking towards me, about two inches away. Another guy kicked me in the shin but I quickly recovered from the pain and kicked him in the jaw.
