Alessia is not new to having to toughen up, having her mom died years before the apocalypse began and her having to fend for herself and grow up at a young age. In her tight-knit community, Sabrina, she bands together the members of the town to take on the Saviors, a group that terrorizes Sabrina. Realizing that Sabrina can't take on the Saviors alone, Alessia convinces another group to join them in the fight. She picks Alexandria, remembering the boy she briefly met in the woods before, and just might get to know much better.

As he lay dying on the dirty floor, his life is saved by a complete stranger. These two loners find that living life together is so much better than doing it alone. I haven't written a story in the first person since Broken. It's not as easy as it sounds, but I enjoyed the challenge. This story has taken me months to write and I finished it just days after the Season 8 midseason finale. Any similarities to that episode are pure coincidence. I wrote the chapter (You'll know which one) months before Season8 even started. For anyone that is newly following me or reading my books, I write differently than most.
