I'm Lex. I turned 7 on the Fourth of July. It was August now the leaves were starting to change color. I was in my favorite tree. Mom had called me in for dinner when it happened. I fell,hit my head, suffered a concussion, and slipped into a coma. This is the story of the time God was the only one there for me, when the others were to weak.

I don't get it. I really don't. I died, I get that much. But waking up in a dark and squishy place, with absolutely NO ROOM to move, I DON'T GET. Let's recap. It was a regular day. I can remember the fear of the tree falling in front of my car, after it was struck by lightning. I can remember how it felt, cold rain on a summer afternoon pounded on my skin as I stepped out of my car. I was headed home to my parents house after graduating college.
