Being raised by a single father and three annoying older brothers has it's perks. She can outrun, outscore and outwit almost every boy in her high school, which includes her next door neighbor Darcy that she's known for so long that he's like a forth brother for him.
The problem is that Alex is better at winning a game of disc gold than flirting with any male. But after being forced to a new job to pay off a speeding ticket, Alex is welcomed to a world which includes new things such as eyeshadow and skirts.
With all the stress of secrets, work and her family, Alex heads outside and has begins to have late night conversations with Darcy. The midnight talks just create a bigger problem for Alex. She begins to realize she's falling in love with her older brother's long time best friend. She knows the confusion and chaos that could result of their new relationship. That's why Alex and Darcy keep their secret world by the fence well.... a secret.
