There are many reasons why a person develops a thick skin, weather it be to protect the ones you love, or even yourself. 16 almost 17 year old Natasha knows this first hand. Natasha'a childhood was anything but a Fairytale, with her drug dealing dad and a mother that walked out on her 11 years ago. As such she has learnt to build walls around her that no one seems to be able to penetrate.

But what happens when her world is once again turned upside down? Situations thrust her into moving into her mothers house where she finds she has a new step-dad and a little 4 year old sister she never even heard of. She has to go to a new school to finish her senior year, full of posh and pretentious people, including 19 year old Braxton.

Braxton is everything Natasha hates in a person. A player, jerk, arrogent, self centred, conceited-- the list goes on and on. All Natasha want's is to keep fighting in underground fight clubs to gain money to go to college and be left alone to study, but Braxton becomes interested in the person that forever wears a hooded jumper over their face and keeps to themself, as such he tries to get close to her, to find her dark secret.

But Braxton ain't no saint, he too bares his fare share of secrets.

This story has many twists and turns, ups and downs, thriller, action and of course a little romance. Friendships will be formed and tested, but in the end one must remember......
