On the inside of the wall, a bored security guard prevents a rebel attack, accidentally earning himself a promotion. Now he guards the city's information centre, The Hub. During his guard, the rebels infiltrate and escape under his watch due to his own personal reasons.

On her personal mission to save her friend, Nyxeira revisits the city in the dead of night and is almost - but for some reason not - shot by one of the guards. He had the perfect shot, so why didn't he shoot her?

The mystery eventually drags her back. And along the way, she finds herself a cute little red-headed soldier to fall in love with, despite the protests of others.

In search for answers, he travels outside the city to the wasteland. The end result: something he would never expect.

The lines between rebel and soldier are blurred as the flames of rebellion devour the nation.

The happiness and mystery doesn't last long as the rebels, joined by their newest edition, venture back into the city one last time with the purpose of the ending the Monarchy's rule.

Pods, the government's own creation, await them in the city's streets and underground. Each contains a new threat whose sole purpose is to annihilate whatever activated it and bring a stop to the rebels' advancement.
