Anastasia Ellis is the commander of the Demeter Space Station, having worked her way up from an engineer to an astronaut, and finally a commander, in the past seven years. With this, she has close friendships and a stable life on the space station; that is, until now.

On a simple expedition, Anastasia's ship begins to fail, and soon, she is spiraling through the galaxy.

She wakes on unfamiliar territory surrounded by mysterious and colorful creatures, an obvious hierarchy, and an alluring queen that's taken an interest in her and her "species".
