Blue
Blue is living example of how brutal the foster system is. The only way she knows how to protect herself is by pushing everyone away, to detach herself from those around her. Trust isn't something she knows how to do. Self-sabotage on the other hand-it's her best talent. After another failed attempt at finding a family, Blue decides to run. She'd rather take her chances alone on the streets than go through another gruelling process of trying to fit in with a new family who would never understand her. Convinced she's destined to be alone, fate intervenes and Blue cross paths with a horse who seems just as lost as she is. She can't explain it, the undeniable connection she feels with the stallion. But whenever she looks at him, she can see her own pain and fear reflect in his eyes-something they both seem to find comfort in. A deep friendship blossoms. A dynamic of mutual understanding and trust is found in the most unlikely way. But with it comes the shadows of a past that threatens to tear them apart and ruin the special bond forged between them. This is a tale of how two lost souls find hope in the most unexpected way, and their fight to protect it.Complete
Wiltshire. Tom Wiltshire.
Riley has been single for over 4 years. By choice. Great family, good friends and happy with her career as a Thoracic Nurse Practitioner. But when her attention caught the most gorgeous mossy green-eyed guy one crazy night in Bournemouth, her peace of mind has been disturbed. Arrogant, grumpy and not over with his ex. Most especially, he's a rugby player. Her ex was a rugby player, so he is the last person on earth she wants to get involved with. But the attraction was way too powerful, too overwhelming. He keeps giving her mixed signals and it's confusing where she stands with him. **** Tom Wiltshire is trying to get back with his ex fiancee that's why he can't afford to have any distraction. If there's anything what rugby taught him, it's about taking control, that's why he is one of the top rugby players in the country. But after one kiss on a crazy night out with friends in Bournemouth, his wisdom was shaken. The attraction was too much to bear no matter how hard he tries to suppress it. Which is a major problem. She's the exact opposite of his ideal. But just one look into her amber almost golden eyes, the 'control' that rugby taught him for years has completely gone out of the window. Until someone makes it even more complicated than it already is. Saving Grace
"Dance with me." While I knew it wasn't a demand, it wasn't a question either. I hesitated and he noticed. "Come on Grace, give this gentleman the honor of a dance." "I don't see a gentleman anywhere." He chuckled, stepping closer and tucking his thumbs into his tight jean pockets. He looked like every woman's dream--dark jeans that hugged him sinfully, golden-tanned skin contrasted by his white-fitted shirt, a black, wide-brimmed cowboy hat, and a smile that could send any woman on her knees. Not to mention a voice that coated your skin like silk sheets. I hated how much I noticed. "You're right, but I would like the honor anyway... ma'am." ********************* Meet Grace--living the city life, reserved, eager to please, loyal to a fault. Feeling empty for reasons she's not yet sure of, she's adamant on chasing anything that makes her feel free. Meet Colt--living the country life, private, stubborn, outspoken. Feeling empty for reasons he's well aware of, he hides in his daily routine. Grace can't seem to figure out why she holds nothing back when it comes to Colt. He's absolutely infuriating. Colt can't seem to understand the affect Grace has on him, and why he cares what she does. She's entirely maddening. When the two get lost in the wilderness, it's up to Colt to get them back. Can they put their differences aside long enough to survive? Is it Colt who will save Grace, or is it she who will be his saving grace?
