Being a superhero is hard, but being one at thirteen years old, is even harder.
When Mike wakes up to find out he has superpowers, his life goes from okay, to super bad. He already had trouble with school, he didn't need a dumb set of powers that he didn't even know how to control.
So the logical idea is to be a superhero. Even though at the moment, there have been more deadly superhero fights than normal, and the super villain Dark Bender has escaped from prison, most likely wanting to rule the world. But, he'll be a superhero anyway. Now his life is mixed with more problems, more girls and a sudden amount of people who want to see him killed.
Even though he is a dork and has so many problems with school, he has a dumb looking costume, a witty personality and sense of humour that will keep him alive. Mike is stepping into a different type of world, and he doesn't even know how to be a superhero, so it probably won't work out for him.

I know what you must be thinking. Why not name this title ' the adventures of Sharkboy, lavagirl and whatever my name is'? Well because that would of ruin the whole story. For this is not really my story, i was not created as a dream. I'm an actual human and I did not come from max, nor planet drool. I was born on earth like every other normal child there is. The only thing different about me is that I have a special power. Although I don't seem to know about this power, nor understand how to use it I'm a main target for everyone. I can rather save everybody from a terrible event or destroy everyone within seconds. Because of this I am very weary around people and shy too. As I try my best to blend in it becomes harder and harder each day to keep my self from exposing this energy. The worse part is I don't even know I have it! Well not until later on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise.
