(Side note, the following events aren't exactly what happened, but I tried to keep the facts straight so just bear with me, thanks!)

It's the late 70's and punk is on the rise. So what better way to spread the word than a tour? More specifically, the Anarchy Tour. Ari Up, lead singer of the Slits, is a free spirited, care free, happy 15 year old. She honestly could care less what people think of her. She has her friends and pride by her side. Whatever could possibly ever make her feel so uncomfortable, confused and all out of whack? In the words of everyone (at least in my story):

"...GODDAMMIT JOE!"

And there you have it. Get ready for a little rock, a little roll, drugs, some unnecessary sexual tension, romance , lies, betrayal, some good music, and some sure as fine hell raising!

Destroy Civilisation: The Adventures of an Anarchist Pop Punk Band from Paris, de JoshuaHudes

I know what you want! You want a book to throw you back in time, back to the Parisian punk scene in the mid-2000s. That's your dream, kids! I know it! You want a book to help you know what it feels like to play in one of France's top anarchist pop-punk bands. You want to feel the heat, the sweat and sleepless nights without the real problem of all the bad breath and broken toilets. I know what you people want from me! You want to get lost in the insane stupidity of driving across the country in vans to play for half an hour at 4 in the morning to 4 people too drunk to remember your music the next day anyway. That's your idea of a perfect book. You want to pierce the veil of the unfathomable urge to play punk rock in the worst conditions and places known to man. We both know that! I know what you want! So this book almost does that. It takes you on the fun-filled journey of Louis Lingg and the Bombs through France's crumbling music scene before succumbing to the rabid anger, unknowable madness and uncontrollable despair of the Covid era. Hey! No book's perfect! Take the good with the bad! So yes, this book ends terribly in a pool of drool and tears. I hope that this book converts you to our values of resisting unjust authority, unflinching solidarity, mutual aid and radical love for each other and our world. Oh hell, yeah! Now you're talking! See you in the pit!

"Go change, Dear Juliet," he stood, holding out his hands and pulling me up. "Dear Juliet," I smiled widely, "I like that." "From now on you shall be my Dear Juliet," he smiled, spinning me. ---- A really fucking emo story cuz I was feeling really fucking emo :p Currently in the editing process!! ---- He saved her. He saved her from those disgusting beings putting their hands on her. She hurt herself both physically and mentally, drugs, razors, needles, all because of her trauma from her father. Juliet was at a local bands concert when suddenly a group of men surrounded her, planning to do vile things to her. Ronnie saved her, he saved her from those nasty beings. From there on they were connected. Connected mentally and physically. When both find that they are each being abused at home, they make a plan to run away together. They take a journey across the country, headed toward Las Vegas where Ronnie has a shot at becoming a rockstar. Juliet pushes him to go for it. While Juliet is a spontaneous free spirit and Ronnie is more grounded, they complement each other nicely. When a fight about Juliet's self harm and drug abuse, and Ronnie's anger issues arises, they each go their separate ways. Will they find their way back to each other? Will issues tear them apart again? Read to find out! :) ---- Started: 9/2/22 Finished: 2/13/23 #1 in fallinginreverse 10/10/22 (holy shit that's crazy) #1 in escapethefate 1/2/23 #1 in radke 1/25/23 #1 in ronnieradke 1/31/23

~some things you just can't speak about.~ // hazel eloise finley's old english and frankly quite pretentious name was never released to public whenever she survived the shooting at her high school. not even after the paramedics took her away with a severe bullet wound to the calf or even whenever she drug and hopped herself outside for medical attention afterwards either. only known as the jane doe that survived a school shooting, and the years of physical therapy, permanent nerve damage and chronic pain proved to be the least of her worries. it took years of therapy, hospitalizations, and prescriptions for her to even feel ready to start college after high school. and whenever she did, much like her name, she was determined to bury it. despite the trauma she went on to become one of the most gifted music majors enrolled at the prestigious university in Nashville, TN, an honors student, a residential advisor, and slowly making her way to the student council someday. Though just coming into her sophomore year, a heavily tattooed literature major transfers into the room across from hers that throws everything off track. Julien Rose Baker infuriated her at first, not only because her friends and roommates were loud and obnoxious and stayed up all hours of the night playing loud music and probably doing anything but studying, but because she was better than her, in every sense of the word. sight reading music without missing a beat or a note, shredding her guitar in nearly every practice room, leaving most professors in awe of her vocal range, and not to mention the writings of hers read during some of the english classes the two shared. it was jealousy at its finest. though whenever an unexpected turn of events leaves hazel almost having no choice but to be vulnerable, something else besides avoiding her dorm neighbor might turn into something else. ~ TW for gun violence, ptsd, anxiety, depression, etc...
