Don't blame Eve for eating the forbidden fruit at the cost of the beautiful garden.

After five years and a thousand regrets, two old lovers meet again.. "What kind of stunt are you pulling out this time?" I see his eyes blaze in blue fire. He went behind his table and sits like a king. He looks at me from head to toe. Did I just saw love in those eyes? But it's too quick; I even thought I only imagined it. "And do you think, buying the company I am working at will help you with your fucking mission on Earth?" I snap taking two steps forward. He stands up, and put both of his hands in the table and lean his body closer to me, putting his weight on his palms. I kept on moving back and he kept walking closer till my back touched the lockers. He trapped me in between his huge hands and I closed my eyes facing away "Why are you so scared of me?" he said in his amazingly husky voice. I grabbed my glass, sliding hers to her and taking a long drink as she hesitantly reached out to take her glass. I watched her staring at the brown liquid in the glass, looking to be debating. "It will help with the pain you're in," I decided to say, making her look up at me. There was something in the depths of her eyes, something that nearly made me shiver. Then she looked back at the glass, tilting it to her lips and downing the entire contents. I was surprised, seeing her clench her eyes shut, her lips in a firm line. "Why did you have them brand me?" she finally asked, setting her glass back on the table before meeting my gaze. One of his hands was snaked around my back while the other dragged up my spine into my hair. With one hard tug, my head fell backward and the shower water covered my face. Gasping for air I felt his mouth make its way around the base of my neck. The hot water was already making my skin hot, but having him so close in this way, made me feel like I should have combusted a long time ago. He jerked me back up to be facing him. He kissed my mouth then drags his eyes down to my neck. "A pretty necklace, for the gorgeous Princess." *** "Tell me River what each kiss means again." He presses one to my cheek. "We're friends." I smile. "Here." He presses a kiss on my hand. "You adore me." I laugh. Then he pressed a kiss to my lips. It was quick barely touching long enough for my nerves to recognize it. "A kiss to the lips," I spoke blankly. My lips still parted in the manner he left me. I'm afraid to move in fear that my brain will forget the feeling. "And tell me again what that means River?" "I love you." A chaste whisper. So quiet, almost as if it didn't need to be said at all to be understood. "And that I do Miss Knight.
