This is a FanFic of The Academy: Ghostbird by C.L. Stone and The Krinar Chronicles by Anna Zaires. I do not own these characters or the main story lines. In this story the Krinars, an alien race, land on Earth. They are an ancient race whose elders started the evolution of Earth to provide their people with a sister race. Shortly after their arrival, they discover the whereabouts of a child that had been stolen at birth on Krina but somehow ended up living with humans on Earth. When they went to collect her, they found another missing Krinar child and took him with them. The boy's friends are searching for him, they will do anything to reclaim their brother. One lesson they all must learn and that is "What it means to be Krinar."

Sang and her boys have been together for 4 years, she successfully joined the academy and has been doing well going on missions with the guys and much to the boys' dismay, solo missions. It is after one nerve racking mission that the boys asked her to stop taking missions and marry them, but she refused. The boys were given a mission they could not turn down that would require them to go deep under cover for at least a year with little to no contact to the outside world and Sang could not be a part of the mission she was needed elsewhere on her own mission. Sang decided that they needed to take the mission because it would give the team the security they needed to have a good life and an excellent reputation within the Academy, so she told them that they needed to realize she was not helpless like she was when they met and she could take care of herself, but she needed them to fully grasp this concept for themselves before they could all truly have a future as a married family. They all decided that they would part ways until this mission was over and she would be waiting for them when they got back to decide where their relationship would go, little did any of them know the surprise they would come back to and the effect it would have on their futures.
