SPOILER ALERT >>> The Royal Ranger: A New Beginning (Ranger's Apprentice: The Royal Ranger) I am currently re-writing this story. I ask any new readers to please be patient towards any confusion that may occur or inconsistencies in the story during this process. "The Royal Ranger: A New Beginning" sheds light on Will Treaty, 18 months after the death of his wife, Alyss. This fan story precedes that book, right after Alyss' death. In "The Mottled Widower," we join Will in mourning his wife, and his quest to avenge her. I'll include a message at the end of each chapter written in Couriers' Code. Try to decode them! (Learn about Couriers' Code in "Ranger's Apprentice: The Siege of Macindaw", or read up on it here: http://rangersapprenticerh.wikia.com/wiki/Courier%27s_Code) Cover art by neodactylus on DeviantArt.

Published: 10-April-2020 Prologue: "He was an old man, probably died on his own. Did the letter say that he was killed?" I was asked. When I heard what had been said, my face turned yellow. Something I had been blind to suddenly became so clear. I had mentioned visiting that man, but i never mentioned that he was killed. Nor did I mention receiving a letter. "How did you know he died?" I asked. "You told me, silly." "No I didn't. And I never said anything about a letter." I said firmly. Emma fell asleep on the plane and woke up in a mythical kingdom. The place was spoken about in legends and myths only, but it doesn't exist on any map. While trying to open the passage between the realms, she meets a man who might be able to change her mind about leaving. However, she keeps getting threats from an unknown stalker who kills her loved ones one by one. But would returning to her home end her problems, or would the stalker still torment her?
