Larissa has always had a friend, but her friend is not like you would imagine.

She's friends with a wolf.

Her backyard is the forest, and one day she wandered in and got lost. She couldn't find her way back, and soon, night was upon her. She almost froze to death, but a wolf came and curled around her, and helped her find her way home. Every night after she would venture out into the woods, and the wolf would come. She made friends with the wolf, and would always go to him. Whenever she felt lost in life, she'd go to him. Whenever she felt hurt and broken. Whenever she had happiness to spreed.

15 years later, she's 17, and is moving across the country to New Orleans. She doesn't want to, but it is her family's only hope. When she arrives, She goes and sits on her back porch, and sobs silently. After a few minutes, a wolf appears, the same size and color as the one back home. It sets it's head in her lap, and looks her in the eyes. She knows it's the same wolf.

But how, why is it here? She questions, and is surprised when she gets an answer.
