New Teen / Science Fiction!

Life in general seems so quiet and meaningless. For Abigail Stranton, her life is far from perfect. The year is 2098 and life is definitely far from pleasant. Abigail is an ambitious 17-year-old who lives in the what used to be the luxurious city of Chicago. Life in this big city has completely dwindled down to barely nothing since the massive outbreak occurred, the strain. The government of what used to be the United States released a deadly flu virus strain that has depopulated the entire planet. Luckily for Abigail, her own family has managed to survive throughout the decades. But just like any teen, Abigail has dreams and ambitions. She hopes to one day find the answers she seeks.

Life in this silent dead city suddenly turns into chaos when Tyler, Abigail's younger brother, becomes sick with the deadly flu strain. While it may seem as a miracle sent them Abigail stumbles upon someone's personal journal that mentions a miraculous plant that will heal anything, even the deadly flu strain.

With the many unanswered questions that lurks before her, Abigail and her Grandpa Luke take off to find the miracle plant, in hopes to save Tyler. Will they find the plant this mysterious journal talks about? What does this journey have in store for Abigail? And more importantly, will they even make it back in time to save Tyler?
