Running Away

Rachel Long has a rough life. It wasn't always that way, though. She used to have a great childhood, where her parents were still in love, and she went on vacations, and had plenty of friends. She was deep into her religion. Getting good grades. She had a stable family. She was happy. Now no one likes her, because she has bruises of abuse compliments of her dad, Jaxon. They think she's a freak that comes from a broken home. When she has a huge argument with her mother, Linda, she sends Rachel to live with her abusive father. Linda doesn't believe Rachel when she tells her she's being abused.
One night, her father does the unspeakable, and Rachel decides to run away with her boyfriend. 'That's the last straw,' she thinks as she walks out the door.
