Jasper is the carrier of a virus called Sanguiphila. Commonly known as Vampirism, it spreads through bites, and causes the bites victim to grow venom filled fangs, and a thirst for blood. Jinx is his closest friend, and his latest victim. Although she hates Jasper, she finds herself drawn inevitably towards a human boy, off limits to her.
