There are many beliefs, many theories, so many interpretations about the afterlife.

Some believe that after we die we go to a beautiful and peaceful place meant only for those whom are good at heart, the good-intended; a place so called heaven. On the other hand, we can also fall into a dark pit illuminated by flames, scorched by fire, meant for those whom disobeyed God's law, sacrificed other's love, life and happiness for their own selfish achievements; a place where the ill-intended are subjected to an eternal torment, a place so called Hell.

Others, believe that they are trapped into a constant cycle of death and rebirth due to their desires, their cravings for anything in the world; this is being known as reincarnation. Their mission, their goal is to get off this spinning wheel and achieve liberation, freed of all desires and cravings; this one is called Nirvana.

In other beliefs, life in this world is viewed as above, but more as a suffering and less exotic, romantic. The soul or "deep self" of those who have adopted this belief are entrapped in the world of "Samsara" (a different word for reincarnation) by the laws of karma. For them, their previous life actions will greatly impact their future life. Moreover, their sins might lock them away in a Hell, for as long as it is needed and afterwards, they are turned out to participate once more in the cycle of reincarnation. Luckily, the ways for them to free themselves from this cycle of death and rebirth are various: from rituals to yoga, from knowledge to acknowledge of nature. Once liberated from the endless chain of death and rebirth, they'll achieve "Moksha"; the supreme goal of human strivings. Once achieved, they are freed like drops of water into the ocean, merging into the cosmic Brahma („the unitary ground of being that transcends particular gods and goddesses").

All these attempts in trying to foresee what happens after our deaths are not fake, are not mare fantasies but they are neither complet
