When Maya Atwood was six she almost was drowned, but was saved by the monster in the lake. Eleven years later and with the fear of water, Maya is back and the monster makes his appearance, telling Maya by the end of the summer she will be his bride. But Kelpie isn't the only one who is after Maya, Jacob Brown spies on Maya. Due to a series of events, the whole town goes on a witch hunt for Maya and Kelpie. Maya takes safety in a place she thought she never would: In The Water.
