Maxis Elizabeth Bishop was ultimately doomed to a life of misfortune and unavoidable melancholy for as long as she could remember. She relentlessly trudges through life bound by the emptiness, and inevitable solitude that seems to enclose her very being for the past 17 years of her existence.

Struggling with overbearing social anxiety, the constant haunting of her broken past, and her bed-ridden mother, life has become more and more of a constant challenge that is becoming harder to take with each passing day.

Approaching her final year of high school, Maxis is reaching near the end of her strength, as she is all but ready to consume the awaiting darkness that is inevitably prepared to consume her.

However, when a student attending her school appears missing, everything begins to fall on her shoulders, as her whole world turns upside down.
