Bernadette Pierce, aka Bernie, was only 17 when her father passed away, leaving her the family coffee shop. Forced to grow up quickly, Bernie somehow manages to care for the family business, and attend college at the same time. Time has buried the broken bits of her heart in these past three years, or so she thinks. Bernie claims she doesn't have time for love, but she somehow finds herself rooted in the cross fire of two men battling for her affections. Big changes are coming, and Bernie has to be strong for it. Can Bernie learn to forgive and love again, or will she continue to bury her heart in the coffee grinds?
