Fifteen year old Imogen has lived her life in her mother's pocket, so to speak and never quite felt right. Perhaps it was because she was stolen her away from her birth mother as an adolescent girl and the woman she calls "mom" has kept her safely hidden from the authority ever since? When a distant friend of her mother's pops up after all these years, Imogen and her begin to unravel secrets of the past. While doing so, with a little help Imogen creeps out of her shell and begins to see the world through someone else's eyes besides her mother. Will she be able to keep Imogen under her thumb for much longer or will the truth, literally set her free?
